GCCOM & EL SOL Joint Venture:
GCCOM's involvement on the Throgs Neck Bridge involved the rehabilitation of the existing work platform and the selective repairs to structural steel. Siefert Associates worked with GCCOM to inspect and certify the existing suspended work platform for continued use in the current project. Temporary overhead work and equipment platforms were designed for use of storage of materials suspended off the existing bridge.
EE Cruz:
EE Cruz's involvment on the Throgs Neck Bridge involved the replacement of the concrete deck, the painting of structural steel, the completion of pier cap retrofits and the rehabilitation of the abutment & retaining walls. EE Cruz was able to complete the project in less than the ten stages originally specified. Siefert Associates, LLC assisted with the restaging plans and also provided demolitions plans, including the analysis of equipment on the structure, overhang formwork design, and steel repair details to EE Cruz for the completion of a successful, on time project.
