In 2007 the Port Authority Bus Terminal building, the main gateway for interstate buses into Manhattan, underwent structural modifications completed by Koch Skanska construction. Due to heavy pedestrian volumes and safety concerns, Siefert Associates, LLC played a vital role in providing sidewalk shed details, temporary protective shields and platforms to ensure a safe working environment for pedestrians. Other work on this project included excavation support, steel connection and retrofit details, as well as demolition and erection plans.
