Principal Engineer, Owner

Vincent A. Siefert, P.E.

Vincent developed his own company, Siefert Associates, LLC in June, 2000 after years of working as Senior Engineer at various construction engineering firms in NY, NJ and CT.
He had developed a depth of experience as a field engineer, working for George A. Tomasso Construction, and as a General Superintendent of Construction.  His work history includes Construction Engineering in firms such as Kiewit Eastern Construction and Walsh Construction. 
He graduated from Villanova University, cum laude with a BSCE in 1983 with graduate studies at University of Hartford. He is past President of CT Society of Civil Engineers and serves on the Committee of Temporary Structures for American Society of Civil Engineers;  Memberships include American Concrete Institute, American Welding Society, American Institute of Steel Construction, Inc. 
Vince is a licensed Professional Engineer in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington states.  
He is an avid Soccer player and well-known for 16 years by the youth and parents of Naugatuck as "Coach Siefert".

Fady Kari, P.E., Project Engineer

Fady joined Siefert Associates, LLC in mid 2007. 
Prior to that, he worked at Safety Systems in Canton, Michigan as a Project Engineer; in Beirut, Lebanon as Project Manager for B.E.T.H.E., and for six years, he worked in Port Harcourt, Nigeria as a Project Manager for Elite Construction. While attending the University of Kentucky, he worked as a Research Assistant involved in projects commissioned by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Fady graduated from Saint-Joseph University in Lebanon with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and received his M.S. in Construction Management from University of Kentucky.

Ram Kasturi, P.E.., Project Engineer

Ram joined Siefert Associates in May 2010.  He joins us with almost 20 years of experinece in varioius Geotechnical Engineering fields including Commerical, Industrial and Residential Construction;  Highways Bridges, Culverts, Embankments and Pavement.  He has extensive practical knowlege with design and evaluation of Retaining Walls, Utility Tower, Lighting Pole and Wind Turbine Foundations, and Waterfront Structures. 
He is a graduate of JNTU with a BSCE and from NJIT with a MS in Geotechnical Engineering.

Panos Oikonomou, P.E., Project Engineer

Panos joined Siefert Associates, LLC in April 2004.  Prior to Siefert Associates LLC, Panos worked as a Bridge Designer at Berger Lehman Associates on Reconstruction of Interstate 84, Waterbury CT; as Construction  Engineer  for Finley McNary/Parsons on the Central Artery (I-93)/Tunnel (I-90) Project, in Boston, MA; and as Intern for Simpson Gumpertz & Heger, a forensic engineering firm in Boston MA. 
Panos graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece with a 5-year Diploma in Civil Engineering with a Major in structures and an M.S. in Structural Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
Panos is a licensed Professional Engineer in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, & Rhode Island.

Kevin O'Neill, P.E., Project Engineer / Rigging Engineer

Kevin joined the Siefert Associates, LLC team in late 2007, coming directly from Marino Crane where he was the Chief Engineer. Prior to Siefert Associates, Kevin worked as Project Engineer for MRA Engineering, as Hoist/Rigging Inspector for the NYC Dept. of Buildings, and as Rigger/Oiler for J.F. Lomma.  Kevin graduated from the New Jersey Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering.  His current projects in New York include World Trade Center Transportaion Hub, Columbia University expansion, and the 96 Street 2nd Ave. Subway construction; Other Projects include Alaskan Way Viaduct and ConocoPhillips Refinery Plant erection.

Andrew Ritter, P.E., Project Engineer

Andrew joined us in the Spring of 2010, returning to a successful career in Construction Engineering after working in structural design and building management for 4 years in Massachusetts.  Andy met and worked with Vincent at Zieman Engineering in 1999 where they designed temporary structures and mobile crane installations for all phases of bridge construction, demolition and rehab. At Siefert Associates he is working as a Project Engineer on large scale construction projects for CCA/Halmar, Koch Skanska and Granite NE.  Andy holds a B.S. in Civil Enginering and a B.A. in Architecture from Lehigh University in PA.

Andrew Baummer, E.I.T., Assistant Project Engineer

Andrew joined Siefert Associates, LLC. in May 2011 as an Engineer after graduating from Northeastern University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. He is excited to join the team at Siefert Associates, LLC and begin applying the skills he gained during his studies and internships to applicable projects. Andrew is working on various projects and technical tasks including crane plans, rigging design, temporary steel design, and support of excavation.

Sean Doyle, E.I.T., Assistant Project Engineer

Sean joined Siefert Associates in May 2010 as an Engineer, upon graduating magna cum laude from University of Connecticut.  He is familiar with the firm, clients and projects because of his internship work with us for the prior summers.  Sean exhibited strong engineering problem solving skills and he participated in major projects during his internships; we were very pleased to hire him full-time.  He is a member of our engineering and technical team working for CCA/Halmar JV on the  NYC Alexander Hamilton Bridge rehabilitation.

Chris Norris, E.I.T., Assistant Project Engineer

Chris was an intern with us during the summers of 2007 and 2008 while a student at University of Connecticut.  He was hired full time at the start of 2009 after her graduated from the UConn with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Chris has spent the past two years working putting his education and expertise to good use on a variety of projects such as the Roslyn NY Viaduct Canopy Support, Formwork Design for NYC Amtrak Vent Shafts, Crane Layout Plans for the Tappan Zee Bridge in NY, etc.

Besmir Xhurxhi, E.I.T., Assistant Project Engineer

Besmir started working for Siefert Associates in October 2009 as an Engineer, upon graduating from the University of Connecticut with a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering and a B.S. Degree in Mathematics. Then he furthered his education with a Master's Degree in Mathematics at the City College of New York. He is engaged in challenging projects from various contractors such as EECruz, Yonkers Contracting, Tutor Perini, Bay Crane, Skanska, . Major projects he is involved in are Columbia University Manhattanville Slurry Wall and Drilled Shaft Construction, NY; Catskill and Delaware Ultraviolet Disinfection Facility Construction, Valhalla, NY; Alexander Hamilton Temporary Ramp 7A, 6A Design and Construction, Bronx, NY; World Trade Center Crane Layouts and Analysis of Structures, Manhattan, NY; Peri Self-Climbing Formwork/Work Platform System, Statical Calculation Review, NY, MA, etc; Various Bay-Crane Heavy Duty Lifting Projects. Timothy Burke, Draftsman

Tim joined the firm in late 2009, after 31 years in the land development end of civil engineering. He is using his many years of computer aided drafting skills as he embarks on an exciting new twist to his career at Siefert Associates, LLC as CAD Operator.

Matthew Dutilly, Draftsman

Matt started in mid 2008. He begins his drafting career with Siefert Associates coming from Barber Pool Construction and Annel Corporation. There he worked as a laborer and general operator. Matt graduated from Porter & Chester with an Architectural & Civil CADD Diploma. Also graduated from Tunxis Community College in General Studies.

Stephen Renner, Draftsman/ Engineer Technician/ IT

Steve was the first employee of the ever growing Siefert Associates, LLC. He started as an entry level draftsman and has grown to take on additional roles, including Computer Technician & Network Administrator.  Steve graduated from Naugatuck Valley Community Technical College with an A.S. in Engineering Technology, CADD.

Business Staff

Jack Hoey

Jack joined Siefert Associates in November 2011. With over 20 years of experience in financial and administrative processes, internal operations management, and building customer, vendor, and professional relationships; Jack provides the knowledge and enthusiasm necessary to support the growth of Sieferts and help focus its efforts. He has worked in or consulted with companies in a variety of industries including telecommunications, medical, and manufacturing. Throughout his career he has assisted a diverse set of engineers in objectives ranging from marketing dsl equipment to major telecom carriers to those bringing new product through the patent process. Jack holds a B.A. from the University of Connecticut and is currently pursuing his MBA.

Anne Siefert

Anne joined the firm in 2009 to assist in the growth and development of Siefert Associates by providing support for operational needs of the firm. Her relative business background is varied - mostly in R&D - with experience in organizational and human resources management.  Anne balances her career at Siefert Associates while actively working as a painter.   She received her M.A. degree from New York University.
